Creating a first foothold in the United States
Quadrante had developed an international engineering business spanning energy, mobility and sustainable cities. As the group looked towards further growth, the United States represented an important opportunity, but establishing a meaningful presence in such a large and technically specialised market required a considered route in.
The acquisition of Right Analytics provided Quadrante with an established US platform, combining local technical expertise and customer relationships with the resources and international reach of the wider group.

The Commercial Question
Quadrante already operated internationally across more than 25 countries and had experience using acquisitions to extend its geographic reach. The United States offered significant potential across energy infrastructure, electrical systems, data centres and related specialist engineering markets.
The question was how to establish a credible position in the market without starting entirely from scratch. A local business with relevant expertise, customer relationships and an established reputation could provide a more immediate route into the market while creating a platform for further expansion.
Our Work
-
01
Assessed The Capabilities To Carry Across
Salts & Stones collaborated with advisory partners to examine Quadrante's international position, sector expertise and existing capabilities to establish where the group could have the strongest relevance in the US. This helped identify the areas where local expertise would complement Quadrante's wider offer.

02
Considered The Case For A Local Platform
We examined the commercial advantages of entering through an established US business. The analysis considered the value of existing customer relationships, technical capability, local knowledge and an operating base from which the wider group could develop.
-
03
Connected Local Expertise With Group Capability
Right Analytics offered specialist knowledge in electrical transmission systems and established relationships across the North American energy and technology landscape. Bringing this capability into Quadrante created a connection between local market knowledge and the resources of an international engineering group.

Established A Platform For Further Expansion
The acquisition created Quadrante Right Analytics and strengthened the group's US leadership structure. The combined business provided a base from which Quadrante could pursue further opportunities in the American market.
What Changed
Quadrante established its first significant operating platform in the United States through the acquisition of Right Analytics.
The move provided:
- A local presence in Los Angeles
- Established relationships with North American utilities and system operators
- Specialist expertise in electrical transmission systems
- Existing contracts and customer relationships
- Exposure to data-centre and technology opportunities
- A platform for additional US growth and acquisitions
Right Analytics had generated approximately USD$700,000 in revenue during 2025, with Quadrante expecting revenue to reach approximately USD$3.5 million in 2026. The business also had approximately USD$800,000 of awarded contracts at the beginning of the year.
The acquisition gave Quadrante more than a geographic foothold. It provided a local business through which the group could develop credibility, relationships and capability in the US while retaining the option to build further through organic growth and additional acquisitions.
